HomeStreets.com sold by Sedo

We had picked up HomeStreets.com as a drop and did not know that there was a company on the west coast that had the name HomeStreet.com. We were contacted by their legal department and given the opportunity to “give” them the domain for which we kindly responded “no thanks”.

We turned this over to Sedo for help in selling the domain as we had parked the domain there and were monetizing the domain at the time with them. Our rep over at Sedo did a nice job and got us $1000 for the domain, less than what we wanted but then again who wants to go through the legal hustle. I think the attorneys would have had a really hard time pressing the issue seeing as how it is not a trademarkable name and their brand does not extend to the east but a bird in the had as they say, so onward and upward……..
