FFA and Link Farms

FFA sites (Free For All) are web pages that include a link to the website you just point free. But it has two drawbacks:

1) Usually you have to register or provide personal information. Many of these sites sell the email addresses to companies that then spam your inbox.

2) Google is penalizing these FFA sites and links from them are not taken into account. In addition, there are often hundreds of links per page, and Google does not usually consider pages with more than 100 links.

Moreover, the ‘link farms’ (link farms) are usually created by businesses to sell links from their websites. Google usually detected and penalized, as these pages have little content and lots of links to other websites artificially trying to boost their rankings.

A website that has some content, but that his goal is not to communicate but to create links to other pages to promote them in search engines. It’s called a “link farm” because it merely serves to create links to other sites and expand its page rank.

The pagerank (PR) is a system that Google uses to measure the importance of a page. The Google PageRank and Google PageRank assigns a value between 0 and 10 to each page, the higher this value, the more important the page.
To assign this value, Google developed an algorithm, which has shifted over time, based on incoming links (backlinks) to a site. It is like a voting system where each site linking to yours is giving you a vote. The higher the pagerank of the site that links you, then more “weight” has the vote. The more sites linking you more votes you have and the higher the value of the Google pagerank of your site.

It is important to note that not all incoming links (backlinks) are taken into account by Google, especially those from sites devoted exclusively to put links, such as call link farms or link farms (link farms), or web rings ( webrings).
Google is aware that nobody can control inbound links (backlinks) pointing to a site, but it is possible to control the outgoing links (outlinks). That’s why if from penalized sites put links to your site, your pagerank will not be injured, but if you get a link to sites that have been penalized pagerank then you can see it hurt.

There are basically two types of penalty, the one where Google penalized with the loss of some points in the value of pagerank and another penalty, which is much more severe, which is punishable by the complete loss of pagerank. Among the causes of the penalty may be selling links, placing links to sites that perform outbound SPAM, or considered “dangerous neighborhoods.

How to tell if a site has received the maximum penalty? Usually when a site has a pagerank of 0, is one of two reasons, the site is new (often sites with less than 3 months) or the site has been penalized.

It is also important not to confuse the pagerank bar gray with white. One page has a pagerank of 0 when the bar is completely white, however, sometimes appears gray bar, which indicates that Google still has not assigned a value of pagerank for that page.

I recently started using twitter and realized that setting up accounts with keywords was a brilliant way to lock out my competition in certain verticals. The next part of the equation was how to monetize the twitter account.

* Direct Advertisement – If a lot of people are following you in ‘twitter’ or in other words if you have a ‘wide reach’ to a large number of twitter users, you can look into direct advertisements for monetization.

* Recommendation – You can recommend a particular product or service on behalf of your advertisers & peruse your followers to take an ‘action’.

* Promotion – You can help your advertiser to promote a new product or service to your twitter followers. I have found a huge increase in my Google analytics where twitter is the referring site.

All In One SEO – The All In One SEO plugin enables you to add a title, description, and keywords to each of your posts. These can help improve search engine results and make your posts appear cleaner in the search results. It can also be used to ensure that visitors are highly targeted.

Related Entries – It’s important to get traffic flowing around your posts because the more of your site a person views, the more likely they will be to click affiliate links or Adsense links. If your blog is entirely related to your business, they will be more likely to buy your products or pay for your services.

Adsense Deluxe – Don’t let the name fool you. Adsense Deluxe provides a fast and efficient method of adding Adsense code to any post or page, with just a single tag, but it also does the same for Yahoo Publisher Network (YPN) ads.

Comment Subscription – The big benefit of a blog is that you can often persuade interested visitors to keep returning to your corner of the net. The comment subscription plug in further enables them to sign up and be notified of any responses to comments they have added.

Monetizing Your Blog

If you want to make money from your blog and you have a reasonable amount of traffic then the methods of advertising you use will quickly become an important topic to you. There are a lot of different ways to monetize a blog, and it would be damaging of me to try and tell you exactly what method will work without knowing at least a little about your blog. However, there are some things we will willingly share.

Don’t Sell Out – There’s a temptation for those with more mature blogs to write a post and review an item, website, or service and get paid for doing so. Our opinion on this can be summed up in pretty much one word or two; “don’t” or “do not”. You might think that you can write a genuinely informative piece and be completely open and honest without your readers ever realizing what you are doing but it is highly unlikely that this is the case.

Sponsorship – Sponsored advertising is a great way to monetize some blogs. Generally speaking (and there are exceptions), the more specific the topic of a blog, the more likely this will prove to be a viable advertising solution and it may be easier to bag sponsored ads than you think. And, because this is WordPress, there are plugins that help you do it too (AdServe is a good one).

Affiliate Data Feeds – Most affiliate networks have some form of data feed or affiliate feed. If you intend to promote affiliate programs then make the most of these, but ensure that the feed fits with your site. Don’t just slap up a bit of code and expect it to miraculously turn your hobby blog into a multi-million dollar, award winning blog because it takes careful planning, ad placement optimization, and some trial and error to get the best results. Guess what? There are numerous plugins to use with the Amazon affiliate program and other programs so make the most of them.

Blog Networks

The final point we’re going to cover in this, now extensive, article is whether or not you should join a blog network. A blog network is, unsurprisingly, a network of blogs. The overall aim and the method that connects the blogs differs with each network. Some may be connected by having different subdomains on the same main domain. Others may simply use the same banner. Similarly, some networks are established to bring profit to bloggers and (understandably) to the network owner. Other networks want nothing more than to promote a near state of hippie euphoria over one particular topic.

To Join Or Not To Join

It seems to have become a habit but we can’t honestly tell you whether you should definitely join, or definitely not join, a blogging network. They work out for some by providing traffic, improving search rankings, and even helping out with the general blogging process. However, other blogs would fare better on their own, especially the more popular ones. Similarly, some networks are so powerful that they can generate thousands of hits to a blog instantly before you even submit a post, while your blog may carry a smaller network if you have good traffic levels.

The reason that a lot of bloggers do join a network is so that they can network with other bloggers. It provides a sense of belonging and can help develop blogging relationships. If you get invited or accepted into a particularly large network then you should consider trying it because it really can pay dividends but be warned that the large networks have pretty stringent guidelines that you must adhere to in order to be accepted.

What’s Next For Your Blog?

This article covers some of the blogging factors that you need to look at when you consider taking your blog to the next level. Simply posting good content will often help you build traffic, but that’s really all it will do. You need to monetize that traffic, and where possible, keep it returning over and over again. You should also employ some methods of further building your traffic, other than posting good posts.

Over the last two weeks we have been talking about Google every other day. This time it is the Page Rank. Google Juice, Google flux, Back links, all have been jumping around a lot lately. Changes both in Page Rank and back links count numbers have been extremely noticeable. And this morning I wake up and see some of my sites with increased PR. BostonMediaDomain went from a PR0 to a PR2.

I tried to check on Google’s data centers but most of them are behaving strangely (reporting a PR0 even for established websites). One tool that appears to be working is this one.

This is either a new Page Rank push to the Tool bar or it is still some data fluctuations of the old PageRank push.

No one was expecting such an early PageRank update in 2008. The last one, as you probably can remember, happened late in October and it created a lot of buzz due to a new policy that Google decided to adopt towards websites that were selling text links without the nofollow tag.

Some people are arguing that since the PR drop is not generalized, it must be a slap from Google due to practices that conflict with its guidelines. Andy Beard suggested that the sites that got penalized were either selling links or exchanging them inside large blog networks. This is a feasible explanation given that most of the Weblogs, Inc blogs (Engadget above all) were penalized, and they do not sell paid links either.

There is also some activity going on the Digital Point Google forum, which indicate that some change is indeed happening right now.

Keep in mind that we are talking about the toolbar PageRank, that one that you are able to see with your browser. Real PageRanks get updated continuously.

I tried to use some of the prediction and cross datacenters tools to see if the change was trackable from them, but most are not working anymore.

Have you noticed any changes?

In just a few short years, since the advent of the Internet, Flat Fee MLS Listing Realtors have become the preferred method of marketing a home. Compared with traditional real estate brokers who often charge 5-7% of a home’s selling price in order to list your home in the MLS, a flat fee MLS listing gives your home the tremendous marketing exposure for thousands of dollars less.

“A recent survey by the National Association of REALTORS showed that over 77% of home shoppers now use the Internet. The only way to get your home listed on www.realtor.com is through a real estate agent or broker who is a member of your local Realtor Multiple Listing Service. Realtor.com and many other real estate websites collect the data from the local MLS to display to their users”

By not listing your home in the MLS, you’ll be missing out on 77% of home buyers. Everyone knows that increased demand causes prices to increase. If more buyers are aware that your home is on the market, it stands to reason that you will receive a higher sales price.

Greater exposure means higher selling prices and faster selling times. A flat rate MLS listing gives you the ability as a homeowner to sell your home faster and for a higher price than marketing a home any other way.

Why use our Flat Rate Fee MLS Listing Realtors?

Listing with a traditional real estate firm, you usually agree to pay a listing commission (say for example 6%) which is due at settlement and deducted from the proceeds of your sale. Half of that fee is the “listing portion” of the commission (3% in this example) and this amount goes directly to the firm that lists your home in the MLS. The other half, the “selling portion” or “buyer agent’s fee” of 3% goes to the real estate agent who procures a buyer for your home. If the listing agent sells your home without a buyer agent’s involvement, their company gets the entire 6%.

With MyHomeonMLS.com, instead of paying the “listing portion” of the commission (3% of the gross sales price of your home) you pay a flat rate listing fee.

With savings like these, it’s easy to see why flat rate fee MLS listing has become more popular.

With the USA median average sales prices approaching $300,000, many sellers are simply unwilling to pay a real estate agent a commission of $18,000.00 to sell their home. Because while 6% of the sales price of your home may not seem like a large percentage, it usually translates into a much larger percentage of your home’s equity. Equity is the amount of cash you get to keep after the expenses of the sale have been paid. It’s the bottom line.

FLAT FEE MLS LISTING REALTORS – HOW IT WORKS

MY HOME ON MLS is taking Flat -Fee Real Estate to a whole new level. Consumer attitudes toward the real estate market are shifting dramatically. The time is now to take advantage of the changing climate and make it work in your favor.

As home buyers and sellers have become more informed, sophisticated, and computer savvy, the role of the real estate agent is being challenged. In some cases, the real estate agency’s cut of a home sale is equivalent to as much as some people earn in a year, and to many consumers, this is unacceptable. Consequently, more owners are attempting to sell their homes without the aid of a broker. In today’s market, too often the broker is seen as an unpleasant necessity.

There is a better way.

MY HOME ON MLS is taking Flat – Fee Real Estate to a whole new level. Instead of charging a percentage commission for each transaction, MY HOME ON MLS offers an a la carte menu of services that home owners can choose from.

Our agents do all the traditional work of an agent (negotiate price/terms, arrange for financing/inspections/satisfactory closings) but we do something else. We allow home sellers to save thousands upon thousands of dollars. It is no wonder that our services and our quality sell themselves.

Our business model calls for smaller office staffs compared to the traditional brokerages, lower overhead costs, and fewer fingers in the profit pie. Efficiency, not redundancy is what makes MY HOME ON MLS so successful.

Just as paramount to our success, we painstakingly maintain a first class image. From our truly artful signs and logos to the MLS listing that comes free with our flat rate, we give our clients more than any other discount real estate broker ever has. And our clients recognize that they are getting a real bargain.

Flat Rate Fee MLS Listing Realtors

The Internet is a great place to find information. The challenges are getting more complex every day. You need a professional that is on top of the market who will protect your interests and guide you through the transaction step by step.

That domain was part of a flood of completed auction sales that dominate our new weekly top sellers chart. By now just about everyone on the planet has heard the Cowboys.com story – Sports Illustrated magazine even wrote about it. It originally looked like the Dallas Cowboys had bought the domain for $275,000 in the Moniker/T.R.A.F.F.I.C. live auction but the NFL team then claimed they thought they were bidding $275 instead of $275,000! So Moniker put the domain back up for sale in a silent auction where the winning group outbid several other new suitors to take the name for $95,000 more than the football team could have had it for just days before. Names from the auction occupy 33 of those openings, including the top four and nine of the first ten. That group included three more six-figure sales; CrosswordPuzzles.com ($210,000), CriminalLawyers.com ($195,000) and CaribbeanVacations.com ($130,000).
